About Us
Owners Drew and Kara have lived in the Highland Park neighborhood of Des Moines since 2013. They opened a coffee shop to create a space for conversation, community, and neighbors helping neighbors, and they are excited to be a part of Highland Park’s reinvigoration. The products are local, like they are, to support the community’s growth.
About Our Coffee
We happily source our coffee from Windmill Coffee Roasters. Based in Ames, IA, they work with producers, associations, and importers to bring in high-quality coffee beans from farms instituting green practices. Windmill’s dedication to training and quality control—in addition, of course, to their stellar, full-spectrum coffee beans—made our decision to partner with them an easy one. In addition, Windmill believes in the power of community and in building and maintaining relationships with farmers, wholesalers, and customers.
